God Is Holding It All Together

Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

When life gets heavy—like, really heavy—what keeps us from crumbling is the undeniable evidence that God is still present. That’s what Isaiah 41:10 reminds us of. It’s not fluff. It’s not a pep talk. It’s truth from a God who doesn’t lie and doesn’t make empty promises. He doesn’t tell us what we want to hear just to keep us quiet—He tells us what’s real.

And the truth is, believers all over the world are going through it. Some are in life-or-death situations. Others are barely making it, living paycheck to paycheck. Some are healing from emotional trauma. And too many are enduring pain at the hands of people who were supposed to love them. For some, even home doesn't feel safe. You show up to work and get pushed to your limits, then go home to more of the same. But even then, God says, “I got you. I’m the one holding you up with My victorious right hand.”

In Matthew 11:29 (NLT), our blessed Lord and Savior says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” That’s not just a comforting verse—it’s an invitation into something deeper. There are moments that feel like defeat. Like maybe God forgot. Or maybe you messed up too bad this time. But those feelings are just the enemy trying to throw smoke in your face—trying to cloud your faith and paralyze your soul. Jesus is saying, “Come to Me. Learn from Me. I will teach you how to rest in truth.” He’s talking about real rest, not the kind that comes from sleeping off your problems, but the kind that brings peace in the storm. Soul-deep rest.

The reason we try to carry it all is because we’ve been trained to trust in ourselves. We’ve learned to only rely on our strength and smarts, and this is often a big reason why we struggle sometimes to have faith in God. Life will teach us quickly that it’s not about us and what we can do. Even if we live a hundred years, we will always be children who need their Heavenly Father desperately. The Lord’s Will is that we lean totally on Him. Proverbs 3:5 (NLT), “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”

Jesus already knew that life would try to take us out, so he gave us an open invitation. It’s to come and learn from him and his example—to trade our yoke for his. That’s where real victory lives—in learning to let go and follow his lead.

Yes, it may feel like too much. Yes, it may feel like you’re drowning. But that doesn’t mean God’s not in it with you. He is. And He will bring you through. Your victory is not in knowing how it’s going to work out—it’s in trusting the One who already worked it out. So lift your head. Be still in His grace. Stand in His mercy. Your situation is temporary, but His love is forever. You’re not defined by what you’re going through. You’re more than a conqueror—even in this.

In the Old Testament, Psalm 137:4 (NLT) says, “But how can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a pagan land?” God’s people, the children of Israel were exiled from their home, Jerusalem, and they were deeply distressed. Even in exile, God was there. Even when the Israelites were far from home, far from comfort, and far from peace—God hadn’t moved. He reminded them, “Wherever you are, I AM.” You can praise Him right there—in the middle of your situation, in the middle of what feels foreign and uncomfortable. Your situation doesn’t have to feel holy for His Spirit to be present. He’s not intimidated by the strange places. And even when you can’t find the words, your surrender is a song. Your trust is worship.

Every day belongs to God. 1 Timothy 6:12 (NLT) encourages us, “Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you.” This choice is presented to us every day: to keep fighting or give in to fear. So fight. Not with fists, but with faith—with your trust in the One who is all-knowing and has all power in His hands. That’s the real fight—to believe Him even when life doesn’t make sense. Your trust in God will move mountains. Your love for Him will carry you through every valley. Keep going. Be confident that He has already worked everything out and your victory is secured in His hands.■

God is Our Rock

Isaiah 43:15-19 (NLT)
“I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick. But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?”

Being a child of God means that victory is your starting point. But let’s not get it twisted—victory doesn’t mean that everything will be a cakewalk; not even close. It does mean that you’re going to be stretched, pressed, and at times, quite uncomfortable. Romans 8:37 (NLT) acknowledges that life can be a trip, and that the enemy will throw some serious fiery darts our way, but this truth declares, “despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” And in order to be more than a conqueror, you’ve got to go through something worth conquering.

We don’t get to stay surface-level. God calls us to go deeper—to grow, to change, to stretch beyond our limits. And if we won’t bend, life has a way of breaking us down until we do. But even in that—He’s still God. He’s always faithful, and Romans 8:28 (NLT) confirms that He “causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” God doesn’t turn us loose to handle things on our own. He’s with us. He’s in us, and He’s working things out according to His Will and plan for our lives.

Our Heavenly Father doesn’t want us to suffer through heartbreak and pain. He wants us to grow stronger in Christ. He wants our roots to go deep, so that our faith isn’t just a feeling—it’s a foundation. Because surface-level faith won’t carry you through real-life storms. God is calling us into a relationship that’s rooted in trust, not just vibes. One that can stand when everything around us starts shaking. He’s not trying to break you—He’s building something in you that can’t be broken.

Psalm 62:6-7 (NLT) says, “He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.” You see, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we’re not out here wobbling through life with no solid footing—with no courage or no confidence. This verse is God’s promise. He’s our unshakable foundation when everything else in life feels unstable. When people fail you, when doors close, when the enemy tries to come for your peace—God remains. He is your rock, not just on the good days, but on the worst ones too. That’s where your strength comes from. It’s where your identity is secured.

Your victory doesn’t come from your connections, your job or career, or your own strength—it comes from Him. And when He is your refuge, the enemy can’t touch you. He might throw darts, but they won’t land. He might roar, but he can’t reach you. Because when you're hidden in God, you're held in a place no enemy can access.

The world won’t always understand this kind of faith—and that’s okay. True faith can look strange to those who’ve been walking in spiritual darkness for generations. The enemy has been busy blinding hearts and minds for a long time. But you? You’ve been given light. You’ve been given truth. And because you know better, you’re called to protect what you know. Guard your heart with intention. Guard your mind with wisdom. The Word of God isn’t just for reading—it’s your weapon. Don’t treat it lightly. Speak it. Stand on it. Let it strengthen your soul when life gets heavy.

Grab onto God’s peace with both hands. It’s yours. He’s given it to you through Jesus Christ. It’s your weapon against anxiety and worry. It’s your anchor and it shields your faith. Proverbs 14:30 (NLT) tells us, “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body.” That kind of peace doesn’t just happen—it’s something you hold on to and protect. Peace is more than a feeling—it’s a powerful tool in the life of a believer. It helps you stand firm when everything else feels shaky.

So as you keep pressing forward, don’t ever forget that you’re not alone. It might feel that way, but it’s never the case. Victory is already yours, and it’s not because you earned it, but because Christ gave it to you. Don’t lose sight of who your God is. He’s not some distant, quiet figure sitting in the sky—He’s real, He’s present, and He’s all-powerful. This same God who split the sea wide open for Israel is still making a way for you today. He didn’t bring you this far to leave you. So stay rooted in His Word. Stand on what He’s promise. And whatever you do, don’t let fear talk louder than your faith. Let your heart be anchored in the truth that no matter what comes, you’re not standing on sand—you’re standing on the Rock. And that Rock will never fail you. ■

Sincerely Seek God and You Will Find Him

Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

Just when you think you’ve finally wrapped your mind around what it means to truly walk by faith, life hits you with something that knocks you off balance—hard. That’s exactly what happened to me, and it came right after one of the most powerful, life-shifting prayer sessions I’ve ever had. In my mind, I brushed it off at first—told myself it was just another scheme from the enemy. But truth be told, it wasn’t. It was me. My own thoughts, my own unspoken doubts about what having real faith in God actually looks like. Did I really trust that, no matter what, God had my back? Not fully. Because if I did, I wouldn’t keep facing the same kinds of situations—situations designed to expose the places where my trust was still shaky and incomplete.

Wrestling with this notion of trusting God is one of the darkest places a believer can find themselves in. It’s heavy. It’s unsettling. Because when trust is shaky, it leaves way too much room for doubt, confusion, and spiritual double-mindedness—and the truth is, God doesn’t dwell in that kind of ambiguity. You either trust Him, or you don’t.

Hebrews 11:6 makes it plain that it is impossible to please God without faith. There's no gray area in that verse. Faith isn't optional—it’s the foundation. It’s the starting point for every relationship, every promise, and every breakthrough that God desires to bring into our lives. Without faith, our connection to God stays surface-level. We may believe He exists, we may pray occasionally, but without real trust in who He is and what He says, we’re not walking in agreement with Him. And you can’t walk closely with someone you don’t trust. Faith is what positions us to receive God’s guidance, provision, correction, and peace.

Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT) says, ““You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” Trusting our powerful God is trusting His willingness and ability to bless us. It’s trusting that when we seek Him, we will find Him. It’s not about perfect faith, but about genuine faith. A heart that says, “God, I don’t understand everything, but I believe You’re good. I believe You’re with me. And I believe You’ll show up.” That kind of faith pleases God.

Real trust births peace—not because the storm disappears, but because your eyes are fixed on the One who never moves. There’s no question that in life, we’ll have storms. Strong winds may blow and everything around you might feel unstable, but when your heart is anchored in God, you’re not tossed around all over the place. His presence becomes your shelter, and His promises are your anchor. Trust says, “Even if nothing changes right now, I know who holds me.” That kind of peace confuses the enemy and steadies your soul. It reminds you that you’re not walking through the storm alone—God is right there with you.

Jeremiah 29:13 (NLT) says, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” So when we say we trust God, it’s not about having all the answers or feeling strong all the time. It’s about choosing to believe that He is who He says He is—even when life doesn’t make sense. It’s about still seeking Him even when things are tougher than you ever thought they’d be.

That means even in the chaos, even when our faith feels fragile, God is still drawing near to those who truly seek Him. He’s not hiding. He’s not distant. He’s right there. He’s faithful to be found when we pursue Him with an honest heart. Even in your uncertainty, He’s still faithful. So, keep showing up. Keep seeking Him. Even if your faith feels small, offer it up. Because God can work with sincere faith. That’s the kind of faith He rewards. That’s the kind of faith that grows stronger, deeper, and more unshakable with time.

So today, make the decision: I will trust Him anyway. Not because it’s easy, but because He’s worthy. And because deep down, you know He’s the only One who truly has your back—no matter what. ■

Call on God Constantly

Psalm 86:1,3 (NLT)
“Bend down, O LORD, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help. 3 Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly.”

We’ve all felt it—the pressure of decisions that feel beyond our strength. We’ve felt the weight of relationships that are strained by circumstances, and the pain of discovering the hidden and harmful faults in the people we love. It’s inevitable that when a couple is locked together longer than they’ve ever been, they’ll learn sides of each other that used to be masked by busyness and distance. They’ll stumble into truths that were easier left unspoken and see habits or hurts that had room to hide when life moved faster. Talk about difficulty, this can be a tough one—turning into something you never saw coming. But it’s no secret that a storm will expose our limits. It will also reveal our need for a strength higher than our own.

Call on God in Real Time

When King David wrote, “...I am calling on you constantly,” he wasn’t speaking from a place of comfort or ease. He was in deep trouble, and desperate for rescue. David had more than a few enemies; entire nations were against his kingdom. We can imagine how isolated he must have felt, especially knowing that his own son, Absalom had rebelled against him and tried to overthrow his kingdom. David’s heart must have been shattered in ways we can’t comprehend. Yet, he didn’t turn inward or numb himself with other distractions. Instead, he ran to the Source of all healing, strength, love, and power.

David’s cries to our Heavenly Father were raw and urgent. He was clinging to the only One who had never turned against him. And that’s the invitation for us, too. When everything familiar cracks beneath our feet, and we’re hurt by the one we trusted to never betray us, we can call on God. No matter the time of day or hour, we can call on Him constantly with the kind of faith that refuses to let go, even when nothing makes sense. As David said just a few verses later in Psalm 86:7 (NLT), “I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.” That kind of confidence doesn’t come from ease—it comes from going to the Father when you’re in deep need. And because you’ve put Him to the test and you know He’s faithful, you have an even deeper trust in Him.

Draw Near to God

Even in the middle of betrayal, in Psalm 86:15 (NLT), David still had the boldness to say, “But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” He didn’t let his pain change who he knew God to be. That wasn’t just head knowledge—David had lived it. He had seen God show up too many times to let the heartbreak of this moment steal his hope. And that same God—compassionate, merciful, patient, and faithful—is still the same today. He’s not just present when life feels good and things make sense. He’s present in the chaos. In the betrayal. In the places where we feel most undone. God doesn’t pull away from our mess. He draws closer, and we need to draw closer to Him.

So if today you feel like you're running on empty—if your heart is worn out from disappointment, or you're still reeling from the sting of someone’s betrayal—don’t try to push through it alone. Don’t shut down or pretend you’re fine. Cry out like David did. Call on our Heavenly Father not just one time, but constantly, even if all you’ve got is a whisper or a tear. The same God who met David in the wilderness, when everything around him was falling apart, is the same God who hears you right now. And He’s not just listening—He’s already moving. He will answer, in His love, in His time, and in a way that brings real healing to your soul.
